La Baule
Just 20 minutes away lies the "Nice of the North," the seaside resort of La Baule. There you'll find one of the longest sandy beaches in Europe, boutiques, and beautiful residential areas. Not to mention gourmet restaurants, even right on the seafront, cafés, bars, and much more.
Salt marshes
Whether you travel by bike or car: the Guérande salt marshes begin just 3 kilometers from the Villa Magie de l'Océan. Salt was already being harvested there in Roman times.
Enjoy a pristine natural setting, discover and learn how salt is extracted. A unique experience to be lived in harmony with nature.
The islands
Belle-Île-en-Mer isn't the only island you can discover on a boat trip from La Turballe. The two islands of Hoëdic and Houat are equally worth a visit. On these three islands, you'll discover not only virtually untouched nature, but also places where the inhabitants live in harmony with the sea.
Places for surfers
Just twenty kilometers away lies Pont Mahé, the epicenter of windsurfing and kitesurfing in Southern Brittany. And the Govelle beach, rich in waves, a slightly larger bay nestled in the heart of the wild Atlantic coast, is also only 20 minutes away: a place where surfers love to gather.
Guérande
In the small town of Guérande, just a 12-minute drive away, you'll be transported to a completely different world and the Middle Ages. A walk along the ramparts, combined with a visit to the Guérande Museum at the Porte Saint-Michel, will offer a captivating glimpse into the town's history. Afterwards, you can stroll through the narrow streets and soak up the medieval atmosphere while enjoying a coffee or a crêpe.
Lively cities
The city of Nantes, which is well worth a visit, is only an hour away by car or train. During your day trip, you can discover the impressive machines of Île de Nantes: the mechanical elephant or the oldest shopping arcade in the world.
You can also take a trip to Vannes, the city located on the shores of the Gulf of Morbihan. During a short stroll, you will discover the old town and its vibrant atmosphere, rich in culture, gastronomy, and entertainment.
Mythical and mystical universes
To immerse yourself in the world of Brittany, visit the Dissignac tumulus, near Saint-Nazaire, the oldest tumulus in Brittany, the menhir near Batz-sur-Mer, the customs officers' cross near Le Croisic or the discreet Pont de Gras dating from the Roman era.
About an hour and a half away by car, you'll find Carnac and its prehistoric megalithic alignments. An absolute must-see.
Golf courses
Each year, the nearby La Baule golf course hosts an international tournament, the Grand Prix de La Baule. Golf can also be played there the rest of the year.
And just 35 km away is the 18-hole Domaine de la Bretesche course. There are also smaller golf courses nearby, close to Guérande.

You can also visit the Espace Culturel Chapelle Sainte-Anne in La Baule, where you'll regularly find exciting exhibitions and events. During a visit to the Maison des Paludiers (Guérande) or the Musée des Marais Salants (Batz-sur-Mer), you'll learn more about salt marshes and the long tradition of their exploitation. In La Turballe, a fishing museum awaits you. The sardine boat "Au Gré de Vents," in La Turballe, offers you the opportunity to try your hand at fishing every day during the summer months.
